*Taluk-Level Handball Tournament hosted at St. Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa.*
The Taluk-Level Handball Tournament for boys and girls from the primary and high schools of Mangalore North Zone was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on 2nd September 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Aloysius English Medium School ground, Urwa.
The event was jointly organized by the Department of School Education, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, the Office of the Block Education Officer (BEO), Mangalore North Zone, and St. Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa.
The sports meet was inaugurated by the school Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, who also presided over the function. Mr. Bharat, Physical Education Coordinator of Mangalore North Zone, delivered the introductory address, while Mrs. Vedavathi, Block Resource Coordinator, conveyed her best wishes to all the participating students.

The Headmaster, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, warmly welcomed the gathering, while Mr. Sudhakar, Physical Education Teacher, proposed the vote of thanks. The program was efficiently hosted by teacher Mrs. Prameela Kumari.
The tournament provided an excellent platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship spirit, making the event a memorable one for all participants and spectators alike.

“St. Aloysius shines at the closing ceremony of the Taluk-level Handball Tournament for primary and high school boys and girls of Mangalore North Zone was held on 2nd September 2025 at 5:00 PM at the St. Aloysius English Medium School Ground, Urwa.
The tournament was jointly organized by the Department of School Education of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, the Office of the Block Education Officer (BEO), Mangalore North Zone, and St. Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa.
The valedictory function was presided over by the Correspondent of the school, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, who congratulated the participants for their sportsmanship and presented the prizes to the winners.
