*A Day of Gratitude and Celebration – Teachers’ Day at St Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa.*
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 4th September 2025 at St. Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa, to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of the teachers.
The day began with a special assembly conducted innovatively by the students of Class 10 A, B, and C. Through their creative presentations, the students expressed their heartfelt love by speaking something special about each teacher and the non teaching staff in honor and in respect they expressed their love and gave them flowers and gifts .
They also highlighted the significance of the day and spoke about the life and ideals of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. As a mark of honour, our Headmaster, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, reverently offered floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan.
Following this, the SPL, ASPL, and cabinet members organized a few fun-filled games for the teachers, adding joy and laughter to the celebration.
Later, the program shifted to the Church Hall, where the PTA members took over with a vibrant cultural program dedicated to the teachers. The event began with a prayer and the lighting of the lamp. The dignitaries present included our Correspondent Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Headmaster Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, PTA Vice President Mrs. Pushpanjali, Senior Teacher Mrs. Laveena D’Cunha, and Mrs. Laveena Pinto.
Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, in his inspiring address, conveyed a meaningful message and presented all the teachers with a token of love from the management. The Headmaster, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, too, addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of teachers and parents in shaping young minds, reminding that parents are the first teachers for every child.
The PTA members then enthralled the teachers with a colourful program that included dance, songs, and interactive games. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a PTA member, followed by a delicious lunch.
The day ended on a joyful note, leaving behind cherished memories of respect, gratitude, and celebration.
