The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the High School section of St Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa was held on 14th June 2025 at the Urwa Church Hall.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome by senior teacher Mrs. Laveena D’Cunha, setting a cordial tone for the event. Teacher Lavina Correa efficiently compered the programme.
Headmaster Mr. Aloysius D’Souza addressed the gathering and gave a detailed overview of the school’s academic activities, achievements, and progress over the past year. This was followed by a presentation by teacher Mrs. Premilla Tauro, who gave a comprehensive summary of the various activities and programs conducted during the previous academic year.
The PTA treasurer, Mr. Darwin Karkada, presented the annual financial report, outlining the income and expenditures of the PTA association for the year 2024–2025, ensuring transparency and clarity for all stakeholders.
The gathering was enriched by a motivational talk by the resource person, Ms. Irene Rebello, who spoke about the importance of parent-teacher collaboration in shaping students’ futures. Her insights were well-received by the audience.
Further, teacher Mr. Raj Kiran clearly explained the school rules and guidelines, emphasizing discipline and responsibility among students.
The vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Mr. Ravi Shanker, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, staff members, and students for their active participation and continued support.
The meeting concluded with a message from the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, who appreciated the dedicated efforts of the staff and the cooperation of parents. He also encouraged everyone to continue working together for the holistic development of the students.
The meeting was informative, interactive, and well-organized, reflecting the school’s commitment to fostering strong school-parent partnerships.
