Report on the PTA Annual General Body Meeting

The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of St Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa, for the academic year 2025–26 was held on 10th June 2025 at the Urwa Church Hall. The meeting was organized with great enthusiasm and decorum, with Tr. Roshini D’Souza serving as the Master of Ceremonies.
The programme commenced with a prayer song rendered melodiously by the students of Class 8, invoking God’s blessings on the occasion. This was followed by the dignitaries lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the light of knowledge and unity. The dignitaries on the dais included the Correspondent Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Head Master Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, Resource Person Mrs. Irene Rebello, PTA Vice President Mrs. Suchitra, and Senior Teacher Mrs. Loveena Pinto.
Tr. Sonia Saldanha welcomed the gathering warmly and introduced the new teaching staff for the academic year 2025–26, extending best wishes for their journey at the institution.
Tr. Laveena Pinto presented the Annual Report, highlighting the achievements and activities of the previous academic year. The audience was also briefed about school guidelines and important instructions for the new academic year by Tr. Poornima.
The gathering was then addressed by the Resource Person, Mrs. Irene Rebello, who delivered an insightful and motivational speech on the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers in shaping the future of students. This was followed by an encouraging and visionary speech by the Head Master, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, emphasizing academic excellence and holistic development.
The Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, delivered an inspiring message, urging the school community to work together in faith, commitment, and love for the betterment of the students.
Tr. Vinita D’Costa proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students for their active participation and support.
The meeting concluded with the election of new PTA members for the academic year 2025–26, marking the beginning of another year of collaborative growth and mutual cooperation.
