Honouring the Dedicated Service of Mrs. Falvi Pinto, Mrs. Rose D’Souza, and Mrs. Beena Fernandes.
A heartfelt farewell and felicitation ceremony was held on 22nd February 2025 at Urwa Church Centenary Hall to honour the dedicated service of teacher Mrs. Falvi Pinto (26 years), teacher Mrs. Rose D’Souza (32 years), and office staff Mrs. Beena Fernandes (40 years). The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Correspondent Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Vice President of the Parish Parishad Mr. Lloyd Lobo, and PTA Vice President Mrs. Suchitra. The Master of Ceremonies for the day was Mrs. Sonia Saldanha.
The program commenced with a prayer service led by the teachers and students, invoking blessings upon the retirees. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by our Headmaster, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, who warmly greeted all the guests and expressed gratitude for the invaluable contributions of the retiring teachers.
The teachers’ views were read by teacher Laveena D’Cunha on behalf of the management and staff.
To add a cultural touch to the occasion, students presented a vibrant welcome dance, symbolizing joy and appreciation.
The highlight of the ceremony was the reading of the citations, acknowledging the dedication and service of Mrs. Falvi Pinto citation was read by Sir Raj Kiran, Mrs. Rose D’Souza citation was read by teacher Laveena Pinto, and Mrs. Beena Fernandes citation was read by Mr. Cyril Crasta. They were then felicitated with a shawl, garland, fruits, flowers, and gifts as a token of respect and admiration.
A memorable staff group photo was taken to capture this special occasion. The PTA members also extended their heartfelt appreciation and felicitated the retirees for their years of commitment and contribution to the institution.
Expressing their gratitude and emotions, the retiring teachers delivered touching farewell speeches, reminiscing their journey and experiences. Their words resonated with warmth and nostalgia, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
Mr. Dolphy D’Souza, a family member of Teacher Rose D’Souza, spoke on behalf of all the retired staff.
The teachers’ choir then dedicated a melodious farewell song, adding to the emotional atmosphere.
The Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, in his address, lauded the remarkable service of the retirees and wished them a happy and fulfilling retired life.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Premilla Tauro, who expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to making the event a memorable one.
Refreshments were provided for the students, and the ceremony ended with a sumptuous lunch for all those present in the hall.
It was indeed a day filled with emotions, gratitude, and fond memories as the institution bid farewell to three esteemed educators who dedicated their lives to shaping young minds.
