The Republic Day celebration at St. Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa, was conducted with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal on the school grounds by the students of Class 8 A and B, under the guidance of their class teachers, Flavi Pinto and Lavina Correa.
The event commenced with the Master of Ceremonies, Hannah Rose Fernandes and Sneha Kudva, warmly welcoming everyone present. The welcome address was delivered by Neshwin Menezes, setting the tone for the celebration.
The significance of Republic Day was highlighted by Preethesh Dsouza, Abhishek Pai, Ksthij Pajitheya, Tejaswin, Riya Dsouza, and Diganth Poojary. Their words emphasized the importance of the day in India’s history and the role of every citizen in upholding the values of the Constitution.
The National Flag was proudly hoisted by teacher Flavi Pinto and Headmaster Aloysius Dsouza, symbolizing the nation’s unity and diversity. This was followed by a cultural performance, with students showcasing their talent through a vibrant and patriotic dance performance, which captivated the audience.
The PTA Vice President, Suchitra, represented the PTA members. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the celebration a success.
As a token of appreciation and to celebrate the occasion, sweets were distributed to all present, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and pride.
