The Annual Sports Day was held with great enthusiasm on December 2nd at St. Aloysius English Medium School ground. The event was a vibrant celebration of athleticism and teamwork, organized for students from Nursery to 5th Standard.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the Headmaster, Mr. Aloysius D’Souza, whose words set the tone for the day. Ms. Prameela Mukesh, the master of ceremonies, skillfully guided the program. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Rev. Father Lanson Maxim Pinto, Assistant Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa.
The inaugural ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and the spirit of sportsmanship. This significant moment was led by Rev.Father Lanson Maxim Pinto, Headmaster Aloysius Dsouza, PTA Association Secretary, Ms. Vanitha Fernandes, Senior Teacher, Ms. Rose D’Souza and sports minister of our school.
The Sports Oath, which emphasized fairness and dedication, was led by Master Aarush Immanuel Soans, inspiring all participants to uphold the true spirit of sports. The ground then came alive with an array of athletic events, fun games, and team sports, showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of the young participants.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Leena Reshma D’Cunha, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the day, including teachers, parents, and organizers.
Adding a sweet note to the day’s festivities, all students were treated to delicious flavoured ice candy at the end of the event, bringing smiles and a refreshing end to a joyful and active day
The Sports Day not only highlighted the importance of physical fitness but also fostered camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment among the students. It was truly a memorable day for the St. Aloysius English Medium School family.
