St Aloysius English Medium School, Urwa joyfully celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava on 1st November 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage and pride of Karnataka.
The programme commenced with a soulful prayer rendered by the students of Class 6 A and B, seeking God’s blessings for the prosperity of the state and its people. This was followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Pranay, who greeted the dignitaries, staff, students, and parents.
The ceremonial flag hoisting was a moment of pride. The National Flag was hoisted by the Headmaster Mr Aloysius D’souza , the PTA Vice President Mrs. Pushpanjali, and senior teacher Mrs. Laveena D’Cunha. Simultaneously, the Karnataka State Flag was hoisted by teachers in charge of todays programme , Mrs. Anitha and Mrs. Vinitha. The school then resonated with the National Anthem and the state song, sung in unison by the gathering, fostering a sense of unity and respect.
A melodious theme song dedicated to the glory of Karnataka set the tone for the cultural festivities. The significance of the day was highlighted by Ancia and Poorvika, who eloquently spoke about the history, formation, and achievements of Karnataka, inspiring the audience to cherish the state’s proud legacy.
A vibrant dance performance followed, showcasing the diverse cultural traditions of Karnataka through rhythmic movements and colourful costumes.
The Headmaster then delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the importance of regional pride, unity in diversity, and the role of young students in shaping the state’s future.
The programme concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Chinmay, expressing gratitude to the participants, organizers, and attendees. The event was efficiently compered by Samarth and Prisha, who kept the audience engaged throughout.
To celebrate the day sweetly, sweets were distributed to all present, adding joy to the memorable event.
